Detektive Thumb

Set Fabrication

I was responsible for the mock up and set build for a staircase set in Detektive Thumb and the Infinity House.  I first started mocking up the set based off of the concept art and discovered that the staircase would need to be built in perspective to create the visuals the director was looking for.  After the mock up stage I moved into creating the laser cut files and then assembling the set and finally a base paint.

Hand Molds

I was also responsible for creating the two part silicone molds for the hands.  They were clayed up using Jolly King clay and then GI 1000 silicone was used to create each side of the mold.

Natural Habitat

Prop Fabrication

I was responsible for the creation of the rigged plate that the bus is attached to so that it can be animated to rise and fall and also move left and right.  The plate was made out of 3/4 inch MDF then wheel wells were carved out and 1/4 square brass tube was installed in the middle of the plate and another smaller tube was installed and attached to the bus shell.
